old people

I hope I never get old, even though i know it is inevitable. Since i am in the relief society presidency it pretty much means that I have to do things that nobody else wants to do, or is able to do. So I got roped into putting on relief society today at the local retirement center. luckily my neighbor came and played the piano and ali watched my kids, but it was just sad. I had 45 min to fill up and I made it for like 35, but close enough i guess. I did remember from mom that i should go up and shake their hand and so we did that, and I think they liked that the best. I just don't want anyone to have to change my diapers and yell at me just so i can hear them talk because I am so deaf. So can I get any volunteers to change my diapers so I don't have to be in a rest home... well I guess you will all be in diapers too, maybe I will take this one up with my kids. mom and dad.... can you guys just not get old, I don't think that I can handle that!

you will probably be healthier than me, and in better shape- so I will put you down as the official diaper changer!

Thank goodness I am just the cousin--diaper changing doesn't go down the line that far... right?

Hey I had to wipe the lady in grandmas room with her and I had nightmares, I still shutter thinking about it. So diapers don't seem so bad after that. I think the people that do that get immune to it. I don't plan on getting old, I am planning on living long enough to get twinkled so you guys can all shoot for that.

Good job Julianne! --
Jim Fix, the runner, once said that the average 30 yr old has body of a 40 yr old, etc. his point was stay active, with regular exercise and good eating habits, or you will have health problems at 50 and in a rest home at 60 with sugar diabetes and very weak. Rosanne like clockwork lifts weights, runs, does flex exercises, etc every single day. I try to be like her. Find something you like and do it. My passion for skating keeps my lower body strong.

I am the yongest, so I will probably have to take care of you. But i won't be that far behind you. I hate the thought of getting old too. It scares me, but then again it would be nice to know you have lived a long full life and made it that long.

You don't have to become like that. Think of President Hinckley. Either way it will be OK. In my economics class we talked about several studies that showed that the older people get the happier they are.
