But i think that this post could be helpful to other people so i guess i can talk about it. this past few months i have had a few things that are a little embarrassing to talk about so i will just say there is a pg-13 rating before you read on, so read at your own risk- this might be a little bit too much TMI. Anyways. So to start out the incredible hideous picture of my fat leg is when i was 8 months pregnant. I had no visible veins before i started having kids and with each kid they got worse and worse. Because of all the excess blood i carry when i am pregnant my veins were getting more and more damaged with each pregnancy and thus baby #4 left me looking like this... so sexy isn't it, well it was a little less ugly after the baby, but not much... well i am happy to say that i had a Vein ablation procedure done, and yes it did hurt, but i would do it again in a heartbeat! look at the difference in my leg!! I am pretty sure i could be a billboard for the Intermountain vein Clinic. but i can actually show my legs again. so here are the pictures, and don't gag when you look at them..

Before
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaRrNzEfBzaBcFUwJ6P5G9NUYEVFR-F9qrZuyVVkyFrPglhuAOxPwpPCF9sK7mkRO8JmlOm4kHwMMi8dtJinCbZ76WVRXNZ35PCJ3gW_fHP_Q_2oz9vlHJ87xZ5x99akWDNewwYBoMyno/s320/ipod+pictures+064.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627571313143773474" />
After (don't you like my cute sparkle toes too :) )
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0ZgQWF8e1aesJJzjpx2gdddqtL8vXEnm_MDXhwF7GODIyuUKRCNfDlvwEWFcq76PzMrD5dvdLqRIZG-j_MBNGhBWUtvI0A7SOIhBO8vrPlxnxFs-eoqULOCNdZJe1BC71FpIKJSo9O2c/s320/ipod+pictures+459.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627571309113691970" />

Part #2, so this is the section that is a little personal, but whatever. Assuming we are all married adults that need to think about birth control.... after Tayla was born i was exploring my options for birth control and decided to have an IUD. I was a little hesitant about it but after talking to my doctor i decided to do it. I read the little pamphlet and it sounded great, low risk of becoming pregnant, less hormone than the pill, very few side affects and you can keep it in for 5 yrs! wow! sounds great huh? so this tiny little device called a Mirena is inserted into your uterus, and supposedly some women don't even feel any pain from it but you might spot for a few months. The doctor did say something about a 1 in 1000 chance of it perforating your Uterus and having to have it surgically removed but he assured me that he has only had that happen one time and it is very uncommon.
so I go to my appointment to have it put in, and he tells me ok, you might feel a little cramp and as he inserts it i feel a sharp stabbing pain. I literally almost kicked him in the face and grunted very loudly. I feel bad for the person next door because i am sure they were wondering what the heck was going on. anyways- he tells me again- another cramp- and i yell again, then he says " sorry, one last cramp" and more stabbing pains are shooting through my body and all i could think is- I wish i had an epidural for that! so the doctor apologizes to me again and tells me to come back in a month for a routine check to see if it is in right. so after he leaves i get dressed and i feel so light headed i am afraid i am going to pass out. i go and get the ladies at the front to set up my follow-up appt and all i can think of is how slow she is writing and i feel as if i am going to pass out right there. I make it to my car an sit there for a minute to calm down, i rush home and just lay there for 1/2 hr not able to move i am in so much pain. I just sat there crying thinking, what the heck did i just do to myself???
Long story short, i was having intense stabbing pains for like 5 days, i called the nurse on the 2nd day and she tells me it's NORMAL?!?!? i just kept telling Justin it feels like i am being stabbed in the stomach. for the next couple weeks the pain lessened but i would get just little random stabs of pain here and there in my stomach and pelvis.
So i think you can guess what happened at my follow up, yep- he sends me for an x-ray because he can't see the strings (which are used to check for it). And after an x-ray, then an ultrasound, then a vaginal ultrasound, he calls and tells me it is completely through the wall of my uterus and is in my abdomen and needs to be surgically removed. I started crying of course, but was somewhat relieved that i was going to get the stupid thing out of me. I had been feeling like my stomach was swollen looking (it probably was), my hormones were out of control, i was in pain, so in a way i was so glad it was coming out for good!
Fast forward to today. I had the surgery done on the 24th of June by a doctor in Provo. He did awesome. He said it was way up in my abdominal cavity stuck in my fatty tissue. I do have pictures of that, but I will keep that one off the internet :). They did three small incisions in my stomach and used a scope to find it, so there was very little cutting and I recovered pretty quickly. So needless to say I feel like I am back to normal now. I wrote a letter to my doctor asking to pay for my portion of the surgery and refund the cost of my IUD, but i haven't heard anything from him yet.
So on the bright side- I did get my money's worth on my insurance this year between the baby, the vein thing, the IUD going in, the IUD coming out, the ultrasounds and x-rays, and many doctor appointments.
I hope you all feel closer to me now, cuz my personal life is not so personal anymore after all this! and here is one more picture of me right before surgery.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0XXtBBfNRiF4E2U-kYnrStYy1rQXHZLnhD6ZLk9tbp8uZc2c6MttJemEDpJPYRWicdqI2ZoX__B6Eb8zCL-akOl9_XEhBDZQ7K6L61zJ3pWUuJM_U3vUksjiWLG7IBOXAudA0Q3DImV8/s320/ipod+pictures+504.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5627585395253225842" />julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-76785016449716384682011-06-10T21:15:00.000-07:002011-06-10T21:24:59.075-07:00Baby TaylaThese are the few prego pictures i have of baby Tayla

3 months
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpSdw6ZktQqzobeMsJUTpc7KVe93X05SjXVO0YFQ8GURTw2fXT-gAzgVa832DWuy-sz9Gj6RoYMPiLluqofm2lf7_cnYrJ5VDu6Uz3qHlg5EIP2Qn6KH6idOgbjdrNkS0VrNw9sBPLYMk/s320/summer+2010+071.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616811795618691522" />
7 months
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9QglIF_LIl3uVCdD-dBcp-YLivwf9S5DPMvPIBDibU4gE2Mr9IXgHiAuhyP2coUNrGuOVzzV3c_0Wgluq3IPGQ1rQ7s0Q6a4vl1CJQ2j9VceLlrHHxtZf3Q7iQRw8tY-Ckh1uzWDBdEU/s320/7months.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616811787642556370" />
9 months (day before she was born)
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEibO8Ddx7SOqEUhaTpHD1bSo-sHFqVMqqzq1sQwR2_-XJg-jYwmKyAkkRA8NwYpGjtNjaoDsuZnPmlglBxhOJunxsdfNDwNVAD7-2q017P_U5YafHzfkmxtUYM3uDtUF4Rt3rmGCOD5rUM/s320/winter2010-+spring+2011+231.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5616811783593867538" />

1 hour old! Here is what we have all been up to this year.
Justin has been keeping busy with work and play. He is still enjoying riding his motorcycle, and spending time with the kids. He spent most of the summer working on the yard to get it looking nice and taking the kids on little adventures. Between fishing, bike riding, and four wheeler rides, he kept the kids entertained while he had a few weeks off during the summer. He still works with the youth in his church calling. He was changed from the 12 yr old deacons, to the 16 yr old Priests. I guess the boys just can’t get enough of him. He does a great job with them.
Me- I have been keeping busy with work and with the kids as always. I am grateful every day that I am able to work from home and still take care of my kids, it has been a blessing in our lives for me to be able to do so. I am still enjoying playing a little volleyball whenever I can, which I look forward to every year, but next year I will have to skip because of the new addition to the family. We are expecting a baby girl in the end of March which we are all very excited about. I am still serving as the Second counselor in the Relief Society which is a very big commitment, but has also been a very rewarding calling too.
Sydney is now 6 yrs old and in 1st grade. She has become a great reader already and loves school (except when it is time to wake up). She and her best cousin-friend Molly ended up in the same class again and they are loving that of course. This year Sydney had almost grown 4 inches! She is so excited to be an older sister again, and has been such a great help to me since I got pregnant. Sydney also started gymnastics a few weeks ago and has been doing great at it. She also learned how to swim over the summer. Sydney loves swimming and we spent as much time as we could at the pool over the summer.
Madison is 4 yrs old going on 16. As Justin puts it- she has vinegar in her veins. I guess that is his way of saying she is a little spitfire, which she is. She keeps me on my toes you could say. She is in her second year of preschool and a head taller than every kid in her class. She is so excited for kindergarten next year. She also started gymnastics with Sydney and is loving every minute of it. She also took swimming lessons over the summer and learned to swim in deep water, and just like her sister, she can’t get enough of the pool.
Then there is my three year old- Kyler. My little man has turned into such a character. He finally decided to learn how to talk, and I can’t believe the things he comes up with. Kyler is Justin’s little “mini me” with blonde hair. When Justin is home, Kyler is by his side the whole time. He likes to help his dad with any project he is working on and begs his dad every time he see’s him to take him for a ride on his motorcycle, and of course Justin can’t resist that cute little smile. He is such a joy to have around, I just have to figure out how to punish him without laughing the whole time.
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas. I am so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family and want you all to know that we thank you for being a part of our lives.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
Love,
Justin, Julianne, Sydney, Madi, Kyler, and baby.julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-80774467422983588852010-08-28T11:40:00.000-07:002010-08-28T11:46:32.349-07:0010 Year ReunionMe and Shara
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiLF4ZxbzImgAsGqNnQuGbHvLVzkXgn-ya5aSNnKIDtpkvjqyqj6S0kaXkldKS5sOOc1YcDUsXqJChC6MSwEPLcI1imPS9lHJ9FRPjthPtJrdFxEdgHhn2OorlL70oiupkfOFm28aY-Gpg/s320/shara,julianne.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5510532471984318850" />

I stole this picture from Shara's blog cuz all my pictures are on Justin's mom's camera. I had a great time at the reunion. and it was great to see old faces. But if I had to explain High school in one word it would be "Shara". We never did anything without the other person and I don't really have any memories without her in them. So thanks for all the good memories! I went to the doctor yesterday and he heard a heartbeat so i guess it is official now. I think i am lucky that i don't get too sick, so i don't really feel pregnant other than my mood swings and constant appetite, even though nothing ever sounds good to eat. Sydney tells just about everyone that she see's that we are having another baby, she is so excited to be a big sister again. After i told her she came up to me and whispered "can i tell daddy?" well he already knew of course but she told him anyways. Madi already thinks it's a boy because she says we already have enough girls, so we will see how that logic works out for her! I will say though that the belly pops right out with number 4! i look like i am farther along than i really am but i guess that is expected when you have already done it three times before. We are really excited about the new addition to the family!julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-24457631590570116722010-06-01T19:53:00.000-07:002010-06-01T20:49:10.909-07:00Bear's Wedding, and family time and Justin's BdayBear and Laura Orth

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyF4yib942KUjLxs5a2L1H4jqL3AOOiScjEOiIkLVLuYW0DCMY-kbjpNT8iJq2lWXvwu-1cPkKivyQmaBsRDEjWQzqhLG0Tg6VHmHg7Qd_R7F5TxRjMHONlrtkvc7hHRkCgs8iWrqnCh4/s320/dsc03134+(2).jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478013757911789058" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEii9tHGzuRKuM8SnhpMBBFMyt6cQMPoDZQl9rQpsANF3gSNvaA6NScCILHwptTzYmzLLGKhL3-FBBzGgQk6xjFQqrNOWx2uo7atE1ot8dkB2LA6DR4EZUAQPzWAJ4wyX7fGTs-HO4RGGgw/s320/DSC03123.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478012983049491426" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9w8rAmGxD7jzIDArjXegOgtpXZ5RtSj6k7UY04Pv6lBKGUM4nGS1BjSSbAsHEIBjyK27ftkHecnjpwTGfHN6sGw2nzTXuvULxHReUYjAvunkQw4sGrdB6KK0cqT5hle-Lbc_feytvIcs/s320/DSC03140.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5478007691652736002" />

The girls had to show off their matching bracelets and rings they got for the wedding. She made one of the best home made meals I have had in just a couple of days! Ha ha "She always makes great dinners"!! Anyways, I have never been a rabbit food eater i.e. Salad Eater, but I have fallen in love with the olive garden house salad, last night when I got home she had the salad, the soup I love and some breadsticks. It was seriously one of the best meals I have had. And it made me think about how grateful I am to have a wife who loves to cook, and who is always making me try new things. I just wanted to let her know how grateful I am for such a great wife, who takes the time to prepare such great meals.julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-25896544453295295232010-03-10T10:15:00.001-08:002010-03-10T10:23:32.822-08:00Madi's cute prayers<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 66px; height: 100px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhADcSh_sft9R8D1TIwXJDAuMhNbmEDHDNYNb0QDHTc26oVemP5nx7h_hoUv36K4uXkGTHw3tuCGpGdYfX_qu4xvodUFVa_YAZQlFotkuagdgvBOZz3KdwaLNuPKfyJnDWbf2QuLoPS1_k/s320/madison.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5447072329927628450" />
Lately Madi wants to say the prayer every time i ask, and they are so funny and cute and sweet... and kind of long too. The other night we were getting ready to eat and sydney started crying in the middle of the prayer because she was so hungry and Madi wanted to just keep praying. It is so cute though. I wish i could remember everything she said last night, well i wish i would have had it recorded because hearing it in her cute little voice just makes it all better. She prayed for our family, and she said "thanks for Heavenly Father and Jesus, thanks for Grandpa being in heaven with Jesus, thanks for water that we can drink that is like Jesus' blood, and thanks for our food (no it wasn't a dinner prayer, but oh well) thanks for Jesus being on the cross, and then he died..." and then went on for another few minutes. How cute is that though. I guess she is learning something in church. I love that little girl, she is so sweet, and i am sure she has a lot of listeners in heaven too.julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-11378390568589537842010-02-22T11:54:00.000-08:002010-02-22T11:57:44.320-08:00Girls night out<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 189px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvSWvxaTCfVEgXQUESXdhv8RMHaK-DcD-f6zpen7A5TkEwrLnMNeNzbDf672oScdLeWitisbln3F9XTFtkHx5T0AAEAbTHznhyVhVGWFA1LPDy8nH63Z37Lp-aDiBwlz9KQ4dndih5RJ0/s320/girls.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5441158671887631698" />

Last weekend me and Amber and Shara were able to get together for a little girls night out. He had some training to do down there so we got to go on a free trip! And of course, Sunday night sydney starts throwing up. we were leaving on wednesday morning, but anyone that has kids knows that when one kid is throwing up, the others are not far behind. So monday night- no throw up, tuesday everything seemed fine. We drove up to mom's and stopped to visit Justin's grandpa for a minute, then went to mom's house. We were planning on leaving at five and at three o'clock, Madi starts throwing up- wonderful.... So i spent most the rest of the night laying by her- she only threw up 2 times more and then she seemed to be fine. I told mom to call the family and give them fair warning so i didn't get in trouble for making everyone sick since they would be hanging out the whole week, and then we left. I hate leaving my kids when they are sick but mom said they would be fine with her. So Vegas was great. We did a lot of relaxing and shopping. We went and saw Avatar one night, which was better than I expected. The best part was just getting to hang out with my honey all week. But all good things have to come to an end and we headed back on Saturday. We stopped by and saw Justin's grandpa one more time, he was declining rapidly so we went to say goodbye. He passed away a few days later.
So while we were gone I guess Kyler threw up too, (sorry mom) but I thought we were done with it. Then yesterday at like 2:00 I started feeling a little sick, I had to do enrichment that night and I was just feeling like crap, but you can't really stay home if you are running the whole thing, so I went and just suffered through it. I started feeling a little bit better as the night went on, but all i could think about was going home, getting in the tub, then getting in bed. Usually me and my girlfriends go out after and hang out for a while but I told them I didn't feel up to it. So i get in my car and there is a note from Justin on my window just telling me he loves me, and I thought that was so sweet. Then I get home and the door is locked so i take a minute to find my keys and I come inside and there are flowers on the counter with a card and rose petals to the tub he just filled up for me. I was in heaven, nothing could have made me feel better. He said he wanted to celebrate it early since we will be up at the funeral all weekend. I thought it was so sweet. So yes the stomach flu didn't ruin all of our fun, even though it tried. Happy Valentines Day!julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-19871648836531742002010-01-20T20:11:00.000-08:002010-01-21T09:33:11.488-08:00Madi turns 4!Wow what a day! My little Madi turned 4 today. We decided to have a little party for her and somehow that turned into 16 kids all under the age of 7 (three were mine, but they were the loudest ones). I had a crazy idea to make a fondant cake for her too, and with some tips from my sister in law Joanna, i decided to try it. I thought it turned out good even though I was up all night working on it! Madi had a fun day though even though it was a little crazy with all of the kids it was fun. I had a lot of help from Ali too, she is a good sport to stay and help me. We also had a surprise visit from Grandma and Grandpa Orgill at the end of the party, Madi was so excited that they drove all the way down to see her. It was a lot of work with all those kids but it is all worth it to see how excited they get. When she came home from school and saw the decorations, she yelled "look how beautiful it is!" What a cutie she is, I love you Madi, happy birthday!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh8k2fpJGVAR8TwSpl2Cwio90HM6uKO_ZL3GF54hzaNI6oHbKiHvsi4jJsR7ojFR3nG5F-g8oxbrpgGTiarD4hdfmmm8X8M50FHJTf_1nAxAvVuAHX1r0Xru3CVNwbLcFbC3X3Tba-0aLI/s320/dec+2009+046.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429041614211905298" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidJYRbmAfgLLGHL70TTlGJYwqidiVpJp3-lJ7zG7jEnHJPNOgWknhDNrvOCqO1LepXBTLwpp4gEdkNLBQnsWjQvHho0ZANySRHJrWTp0x72WfJJ6i-HsrT80zEDBZoTxxZRZT2yoA6rCQ/s320/dec+2009+048.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429041605415456658" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5Hrn90ZiPqtnGIKbEmT-HsvritaXmDNH6jAP9TlkgZPQKvHx9ohdtKqPFddd81EHdoofXZcKoXJeSJM72zzj7ZikX2G26fFcnzVogKoIkzahXpezSM6_490LQFL8i76kug1wwVLwcu6g/s320/dec+2009+053.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5429041597263576802" />julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-80475009342242827672010-01-07T19:29:00.000-08:002010-01-07T19:41:24.041-08:00Happy New YearWell since everyone else is listing New year's resolutions, i figure I better go along with the crowd and come up with something. I am not really a big fan of resolutions, so I will just call this my goals for this year.
1- attend the temple at least 6 times this year
2- read scriptures with my family 3-4 times a week, (every night just isn't going to happen, let's be real)
3- Have more money in my savings in december than i do now.
4- Be a more giving person
5- Read more, watch tv less

Well there you have it. Here is to 2010.julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-3548119682937395182010-01-07T18:23:00.000-08:002010-01-07T19:27:35.970-08:00Christmasbuilding Gingerbread houses with the Orth cousin's

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0kJGoyWgSaw_L5JKHb12E6id01EMRt01EGJWjpa42mqVVfZnlvZpfmbtK9yp43KGRbcbBwHDZpSh9KzSrVyc2RgCIphyphenhyphenfE45bQ9QXve6KlUqpYoTpLNhJWOsNav-e7J7AiNhyphenhyphenok7LsM0/s320/dec+2009+035.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424205328277409090" />

Opening presents
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZtGNPT4aCuaS0KMqiJeI1Obo_oEVLL5RXqQa7ZJatQpPwGXyBTzHaWSQr7ERHVPpKMjOjqkdY703bUOQEta_ZjUtFDNR3nMv9oVfTmHubVDdPfhrCJBd9hgwZROj4lA-n_fkXAIMWN3M/s320/dec+2009+020.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424190239053005074" />

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyzISb2KVpsBDHeFsBZgU6QK7nEvo9zy4Z1VFPPsz4wbD5czbI4g4PRSrvFicmcQO4n-181Lla46M2ABQNBuCfbVqRvhYNnKgT9m1kbcIm5tODTHsMA0-eWEGTn3VKRZm6GaLzTpDsDlc/s320/dec+2009+025.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424190269904258914" />
Here are some of the aprons i made for christmas
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhxVNWYNrYoeZ0pLLxV-8f_11XXaf6m-S9AXhRDt6u-Q6pBIKnGFqodLV_h2RLYZVRTSXxLPBESVzmK-vHEgfjSu6qN9GHs_18g4jrW2J36nROVjLthTjWlplHZ5AWKNI7fZkJDUJ9RVrw/s320/dec+2009+027.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424190264642865058" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAeu2Oq4q_nDkILoaHOG7eA9Y7XI716eMS52pMiHIbQAS2OYwZtUmg7cNAuCeZI9pg0j6VoHlofgFpyJ4C72LG0jj1UrWf3zEN4hiUW4Rt_QZc_zPw1y-aj_pK3TKZdRs1gliorULCxdo/s320/dec+2009+022.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5424190257218681762" />

and just in case you didn't get a Christmas card from me, here is the letter I put in it.

CHRISTMAS 2009

Wow another year has flown by! I can’t believe we are at the end of another year.
Justin has been busy again this year working on the house. He did another huge project this summer. With the help of his brothers, he put in our sprinkling system and planted seed in our yard, we live on a half acre so you can imagine how big of a project it was. It was the greatest thing to see those little grass seeds starting to grow, and the dirt slowly disappear. He did such a great job on it and I can’t wait to see it next spring in full bloom. Justin has also been very busy with his job too. He is in his third year of the running the Upward bound program at the college. He does such an awesome job with them and the kids really look up to him. He also is the Scout master in church so he is around teenagers all day every day. He is great with them though.
I have just been enjoying working from home and having space for my kids to run. This summer was so great having a place for the kids to play while I worked. We have the longest driveway in the neighborhood so my house became the official bike riding spot this year for all the neighbor kids. I have been in my calling as the relief society for a year now. I am the Enrichment counselor and what a job that has been! It has really been a challenge for me, but I really have enjoyed the activities and getting to know all the people in the ward on a more personal level. I put on my first super Saturday this year which I thought was a huge success and also did a few fun activities and a few service ones too. It is such a blessing to have a calling like this to give me the opportunity to serve others. Other than church and work I have just been doing my best at being a mom, which of course is the most important of them all, but also the most challenging.
Sydney started school this year. They do all day kindergarten down here and I was a little nervous about it, but she has been doing so well. She is already learning to read and she amazes me every day how much she has learned already. She is in the same class as her cousin Molly and they both love it. Sydney has such a caring personality and is a great helper for me. She has also turned into my little party planner, just say the word and she goes to work planning decorations, food, people to invite, etc. she is just a little social butterfly you could say.
Madison is in her second year of preschool since she got to do half a year last year. She is so smart and loves to do homework anytime Sydney is doing hers. She knows all her letters and shapes and is starting to learn the sounds too. She and Kyler have grown a lot closer with Sydney gone during the days. They love to wrestle and chase each other around, and most days she just loves to be in her pj’s all day long.
And then there is Kyler. Kyler spent most of this year on his hand-me-down purple and pink bike. All I can say is he is such a boy, He loves to ride his bike and get into trouble. Recently he discovered if he walks up the big hill behind our house he can see Ali’s house, so yes- he has made his way there a few times and sits and rings the doorbell until Ali answers. He loves tractors, balls, wrestling with daddy, bikes, motorcycles and bugging his sisters, he is just a boy I guess.
We hope you all have had a wonderful year and wish you the best in the one to come! MERRY CHRISTMAS
Love, The Orth'sjulianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-17938277660485050412009-12-15T10:06:00.001-08:002009-12-15T10:06:33.174-08:008 Years!I may not always choose the right line in the grocery store, and I may always get lost because I choose the wrong shortcut to take when i am driving, but at least I got this one right!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 247px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyA0xAx0dZNV-vzESxbOFN4Sxq8h3QBfudGHk_Tgva2shDB8lZbdP_Cism-JZEwbZ0uzdRFSSsonUlWLa5YrECurZeH25_SniyNO7L1Chy_Cab7Z1QeVzYbixKnJVJHHhalQ6uodCfe38d/s320/img005.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415525220831302786" />

Happy Anniversary Honey, you're the best decision i have ever made!julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-57789047258554884582009-12-14T11:48:00.001-08:002009-12-14T12:02:22.166-08:00Kyler's BirthdayKyler turned 2 yesterday so we invited a few friends over to sing him happy birthday, he is still a little young to know what was going on, but he loved all the attention and presents.
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTonKXuJlztX665pIJllR0HB8eeZktn-48lGizhTGjrTOkqaE9oXgKFjsT0DQVTq7xbSh-Xcp4LcExlwJ_DL-CSPHp1WB2uYgeoaVeChVci_H0nIBwD2AXuROC9DSNgb2QRyNfzqWTr9I/s320/DSC02882.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415182190105542050" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVSYd6_eD5zh5Nl_5tnNWljz8_FLZQ07WVEzLZYXfy9aAQk4baTe7ojshvsT3vBYJzFhmKeMYrOp-1LBJ3tENeV5xYIMdaJQtoXhYGvIlWLpCOPCvkOS9UV1CJH9VlKTYJFEwCQiXyAjk/s320/DSC02888.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415182181605253810" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1JDg-0fuZX2BvHlQ6I3oPROP7bVTrHIHsBO0tZr_4dFTHCDLfOaM-uGa8qMd9rGkcuVSJ528QXpkHzJYYgp36QWph4I4kq7MBTSlEqmw-lIFUCoB1kJNl3wODw262xhbU3bbpJxM30vo/s320/DSC02870.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5415182169638616594" />

His favorite gift was his little motorcycle that came on his cake, he is his Daddy's little clone, he loves motorcycles. I asked for a sandbox for my birthday and Justin of course built me an awesome one. Me and Justin went to lunch alone which was great because that doesn't happen often, and the girls picked me out a cute little cake and all day they were trying to plan me a party and they kept inviting neighbor kids to my "party" so i finally had to tell them to stop so i wouldn't have 20 kids at my house. It was so cute though, the whole day they were so excited about my birthday, they even decorated their room for me. So here is the sand box, the kids couldn't wait to get in it.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYT7l9LMvUwEEF8r-pB1VVf2FLy4jPUDW5v5Sd-Xfmi8E5bNsG0m-U6ClJdXR43JnZp_y-Kb5yypwIU31R18i_eNsBbb1cR7XGKzuASEtDheA35Bwydwx5En-IbmXcIoZKz6yur3wnDgc/s320/may+2009+002.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5383279067281490370" />julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-78556314536614006952009-09-10T19:57:00.001-07:002009-09-10T20:13:17.376-07:00First day of school and Kylers new blanketWell my little Sydney started school(two weeks ago, but i am a slacker).I can't believe she is in kindergarten already. She has been doing great so far. They do all day kindergarten and the first week she told me school was too long, but now she seems to be doing fine. Every night she get's so excited to do her homework and I can't believe how much she has learned so far. Madi started preschool too. She did half a year last year so she is a pro at it already, she insists on doing homework too when Sydney is doing hers. They are so fun and I love being their mom. I feel like life is already going too fast for me though, my little ones are not so little anymore and it makes me sad. Here are some pictures though.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy1gA8P5KdmsB4BbSLJ0xrWVwekQggTEEWedwIa3aDBnZJFzPYrb1kMDLXT7omHGMZh4lDMCezkn8hNgFyPol7aysQcje9PjlQxdGOgS1NalepgsoF7lTaQ2CVHqVv3uO20h3iIQMtnNQ/s400/may+2009+272.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380039676363965730" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioPKl_kY5DQXOnUC5Ul8_fSXEY74bR6Uv7gvcOZPGfZIK6JFgvxa9qEHlNnCu8OPyiBrZLR-xdwOvwp_vvEm0tXpG2dloJDqDpP0X-s3JbkICU66JuhardToS5-MQGU1TDaINaipLYXoc/s400/may+2009+271.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380039667658452866" />

I also moved Kyler in to a toddler bed and I didn't want to use his crib bedding anymore so I decided to make him a blanket. I get a little out of control when I make things, it is too fun to have endless possibilities with all my fabric samples. I had a little left over so I made a matching valance too. I love it and Kyler loves his new found freedom of being able to get in and out of bed when he wants. Now if I only had some artistic ability I would paint a giraffe on his brown wall but we all know that isn't possible for me to do so I will have to think of something else.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeeqWexFbv22GLyOQY3WW1gQR8t6CXm2yPfRZUH3rBo0Xem7Esr9BYR1V-BllWX0HwSih0YXms6hJlJ61RStjqcZWtzGaONVjKPj-ZAnHnadBjpU8xY33-27SOuFomZ5rXOEyHjCgj4a8/s400/may+2009+287.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380039698210890898" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvcR0SY9tLP4Zh_yzhCxt2e-KFIdPqHU2FeePcUoAV3ZETymoEO-Lk87n3i8dvHLAtIu-gpSSc8Sa6przHy6FoiU20FOXoxZh84rb1PUbXLr0OfMzu0-y3IBPQfn-VC8t9A9WsfvQDkmE/s400/may+2009+282.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5380039683048970210" />julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-4484521339389870762009-08-25T17:30:00.001-07:002009-08-25T17:41:57.478-07:00what would you do?So i have always tried to be an honest person, but last week I ran into a little bit of trouble. The house next to me isn't sold yet and the guy that is building it decided to do a stamped concrete deck on the back of it. So they had been working on it and it was his first time doing a stamped concrete so he was experimenting i guess. He finishes up and comes over and tells me that they just finished so to make sure i keep the kids off and i told him "oh sure, no problem". there is no fence between us and the house so the kids kind of just wander around all the houses. So we go in and eat lunch and I put Kyler down for his nap and i start wondering where the kids are. Just then I hear loud, excited voices coming from outside and i think- oh no... I go outside and sydney is out there with four other neighbor kids JUMPING ON THE CONCRETE DECK! I lost it- I start yelling for all the kids to go home and I am pretty sure I scared all of them pretty bad and all i can think about is how this is going to cost me thousands of dollars and plus humiliate me for not being able to keep track of my kids for longer than ten minutes. So i am just in panic mode and so i go get my little swiffer broom and start sweeping off the dust and i really don't see any footprints, but it is hard to tell with the texture. So i go inside ready to just die and a while later i see some guys out there so i go out to confess to them. It is just the concrete guys and they pretty much say to keep my mouth shut. So I go back inside my shop and then the contracter pulls up. So i am hiding in my shop looking through the window trying to read his body language and I decide I need to just go talk to him and quite acting like a kid. So I march out there all ready to confess and he says "it looks great, don't you think" and i just smile and say "yah it looks great!" and I walk away feeling like a coward, yet somewhat relieved. So what would you have done is my question. I really couldn't see any footprints so there didn't seem to be any damage, but if i was on a hidden camera show I totally would have failed the test. So coward or maybe I just got lucky, call it what you want but I think i got pretty lucky.julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907999140873521205.post-57682958082741148272009-08-22T16:59:00.001-07:002009-08-22T17:02:47.018-07:00Ok, now a bat<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 300px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYcM97yNty0FkC_v2-icZyu47Ms24kFrO3BofWGLGohjiOL01uX7fiSv09kcrsK7-7InLH9AJUKK6GpPz4JwzANRalhaEXSRgFdmaR5f9k_404w8ngsOj9_7iH9w1u4M4CxScYIDqkajw/s400/bat.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5372942628076685842" />
As if weird spiders that look like scorpions, large snakes and tons of other insects were not scary enough, Justin finally found out what has been leaving strange droppings in front of my door.... seriously could the creepy animals just leave me alone! We are planning a super saturday for october and the only problem with that is I have never even been to a super saturday. I guess avoiding extra church activities for my whole life has come back to bite me in the bum. So if any of you have any great ideas for me I would love to hear them. I need help... what is the funnest or most useful thing you have done at one of these shindigs?julianne orthhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08638425573447238477noreply@blogger.com5
